WB's Shed has finally started
It has been some time coming but this morning the building inspector approved the holes for the footings so this afternoon we arranged a mini mix to deliver the 1.6 metres of concrete.
Here are some photos of the progress so far.
Hopefully I won't upset the neigbours with any noise, the nearest house is 80m from the shed and that is our house. The next house is about 600m away through the trees and across the paddocks.- Wood Borer

The spiders will enjoy their new home Rob. Of course, Meg is going to have to buy a lot more LN stuff to fill this shed

Thanks for all your kind words and I am very happy about it.
I'll try to remember to take photos at all the different stages.
The shed is 12m X 9m. I am pouring the slab after we have built it so I get a better seal between the iron and the slab.
We are planning on standing the frame up early next week.
I am planning on putting foil backed fibreglass insulation on the roof to reduce the condensation. The pitch of the roof is 22 degrees which should also reduce the condensation and allow the snow to flow.
I have run the power cables and a poly pipe for water between the house and the shed site. I may put a 10 or 20 thousand litre tank on the shed to back up the 50 thousand litres we have for the house. We haven't got below 85% capacity over the past two years but more water storage probably won't hurt.
I have some power tools for the new shed Groggy that will be used alongside the LN stuff - 2 electric saws and a router thingo plus an electric plane They are fairly big ones so they can do the back breaking work.
I might even have a bit of a BBQ for forumites when it is completed.- Wood Borer

I'll throw in some free accomodation for those who think the return trip is too far for one day.
If it is wet, don't follow and his short cuts - he'll get through but you may not, you can get here on black stuff all the way.- Wood Borer

Wahoooo
This might be too late but if I was to build another shed I would set a couple of underfloor ducts for power, air and dust extraction. You could set them into little access pits at strategic locations at little expence but huge convienince.
Bob TDon't argue with idiots, they only drag you down to their level then beat you with experience.

Bob,
You need a new shed!!! I just need a shed.
I am currently working in my carport with a gravel floor and open on two sides. This morning I cut up 4 melamine shelves for a neighbour using my jigsaw and a plane (cr@p plane) knowing that I have a brand new never used Felder full sheet sliding table saw with a scribing blade sitting in my container only 80m away
I don't particularly like melamine and other manmade boards but it still makes me rather keen to get the new shed up and running.
Take me off your hate list and put me on your poor b@stard list pleeeeease - at least until the new shed is up and powered.- Wood Borer
