    Default what are these from?

doing a cleanup aroud the Nova lathe prior to moving and found this gear.what1.jpg

I dont think they are related but hopefully one of you learned guys will know more.
All I can think of is early 2020 before Covid I travelled down the south east and purchased a load of gear drom a fellow WW member who was having to unload due to health. Doing a search wont go back that far, I know that various members thought it was an excellent deal but so far from Adelaide was the hinderence. I had other things to do down that way.
I got the Lathe plus huge amount of extra chucks etc etc, a drill press, a jointer and other stuff.

Torquata wood possibly suggest a Timbcom item but googling brings no joy. I am pretty sure the items are not related.

Looks like a copy attachment for the lathe

I'm far from expert on lathes, but could it be a router lathe? I wouldn't be at all surprised if the box of tooling goes with the Torquata frame.

I can see that being a router attachment for a wood lathe, but I can't see how it would reliably attach to the bed. The box a' bits doesn't look suitable for this, to me.

I wouldn't be surprised if some of the spare odds 'n ends belong to it, but as the whole router mount assy is missing (if it ever existed) who can say?

Also, the Torquata label may be a red herring, although it does look better built than your average handyman level.

Anyways, if it is a wood lathe attachment, then someone in the Woodturning sections may know whether Torquata made one, what it looked like and whether that was part of one.

It may be worthwhile to post a query there as well?
I may be weird, but I'm saving up to become eccentric.

Rick got it; it’s an attachment for turning your lathe into a copy lathe. Timbecon used to advertise it for their Torquata M900.

HERE is a video of it in use although you don’t see the full item untill right at the end.

well well aren't you guys little cherubs who would have thought I would have one of those. Even stranger as years ago I was bashing my head trying and successfully in getting one of those copying lathes that used a flat bed and were made in Adelaide. There was a 1500 & 1800 models.

Hmm maybe it can all stay wrapped up again.
