    Default What's on the bench?

There have been a lot of really interesting discussions over tools and jigs recently. Less so about the projects I'm sure you are currently working on.

To steal a phrase from Woodtalk, "What's on the bench?".

To kick this off, my current project is a hanging tool cabinet for the garage made from Bunnings Tassie oak.

My woodworking tools are haphazardly stored in the garage and it's time to give them a proper home now my first bench is mostly finished.

Nothing special in design but it's a good excuse to practise the basic joints as i am still new to this. Photos will follow once it's at a reasonable state!

My mitre saw, drill, driver, hammer, and associated other tools - we're framing the inside of the shed for a total refit: Midnight's Shed

Everything else is packed away in boxes or on wheels being moved around the work in progress.

Some spray paint, a bit of camphor and Lumpy my shed log. The interesting thing about sheds logs is that they move so slowly you can't actually tell which direction they're moving, it's also difficult to tell the front end from the back end.

There's also part of a sheet of 0.8mm galvanised steel. The rest of it, not in picture, is actually my first steel sculpture which is currently being exhibited at the Mt Cootha Botanical Gardens in Brisbane for Sculptors Queenslands 50th anniversary exhibition.
