Yep. I'll be there, well it depends on getting the semi load of timber up the slippery red hill on Monday after this rain..... but we did it last year with the help on the tractor and I gotta tell you, it was no fun, I'm sure we will be fine.

The fun will start on Friday.
Seb, got some beautiful thin cedar and qrt sawn northen silver ash as well as great rosewood for you.... you can never have too much timber young man!!

    See you all there.

Felder have some nice units, but they haven't been at the Sydney show for years now.
Yes, I doubt I'll find anything on offer. Maybe Laguna?

Gregory Machinery are on the exhibitor list, but I doubt they'll have much gear on display due to shipping costs, etc. Looks like they do have an extensive range of dust extraction/cyclone equipment, so at the very least you'd be able to discuss your requirements and check out pricing.

I'll certainly be having a good look at some of the Laguna gear - given its popularity, how long can it be before there is some kind of direct outlet for Laguna in Sydney?

I remember when I was in the market for a new table saw I was very close to buying one from Gregory machinery. From memory the delivery fee was very reasonable as they do regular deliveries and just add it on the truck.

Like the last few years I will be taking St Timbers Day off work. I AM surprised that it isn't a gazetted public holiday but I guess that would just increase the crowds.
I'm taking the model numbers of my thicknesser, jointer and table saw. I'm in the market for spiral cutting heads for the first 2 and the Jessem or Carbatec table saw cross cut extensions and mitre gauges. As my table saw is on wheels and moved for virtually each different cut, I prefer the concept of the Jessem as it doesn't require a separate leg to the floor BUT some of the reviews on the web are NOT flattering?
Other than that, I'm always in the market for timber ... and other ESSENTIAL stuff

I'm hoping and doing my best to get there but there are dark forces working against me at the moment but I hope I can overcome them with some burning sawdust and fierce waving of sharp saws and heavy mallets over my head at midnight. and maybe a glass or two of honey bourbon.

I was there today just helping out The Billinudgel Wood Working Company stand with the setup. You know the routine someone to help lift this and someone to help move this. I helped unpack three boxes(1.2 x 1.2meters, I think) of turning blanks and some very nice figured wood for box makers.

There is still another large box containing some unique pieces. I walked around a little just to get some perspective on whats there. As always the standard comment is lots of wood and this is still the case.

I will be there again on Thursday to setup the Wood Work Forum stand with the help of NZ_carver.

Was out there today helping set up the NSW WWA stand (which explains the lump on my head - don't ask). Saw Neil there but he was busy on the phone. Looking forward to picking up some timber - will stop at Greg's to get some SA first up. Won't know what else I can't live without until I see it.
