    Default Wood dye /stains

I am making some wooden toys out of pine and jelutong that I want to colour, but don't want it to rub off or wear off. What would folks suggest?

I use RIT dyes in bottles (as fluid), bought on eBay. Cheap!

For toys its perfect. Make up a big plastic container worth then heave everything in.

UBeaut looked great, but the volumes aren't big enough and they don't sell large containers.

On the question of kids toy paint... well, I've asked everywhere 100 times and nobody knows... have a look at any cheap wood toy kits (such as cubes, dolls, etc) and they all use an ultra-smooth, totally opaque, non-raising paint of incredible lustre. Nobody, absolutely nobody knows what this stuff is (despite its apparent ubiquity).

There have been a number of posts in the past re this subject.
If you use the Advanced Search with the Topic "paint" and the name "evanism" you will get a number of hits re paints, gloss finishes, kid's toys etc.
    Cheers
