Default Wood ID - possibly poisoned?

    Team,

i picked this stuff up by the roadside over a year ago now and I sliced and let dry out. Firstly I don't know what timber it is, any help would be appreciated.
Secondly, was it poisoned before they realised that it didn't work so they cut it down. If so should it be thrown away or is it safe to use? There is some amazing colours floating through the timber so I'm not sure if I can use it. Please see pics.

Or or maybe someone has seen this Blue-ish/grey staining before.

The stain is fairly common in light-coloured timbers. Some information about it is here.

You need to be careful with any timber that has microbial contamination - good dust collection and dust masks are essential.

Thanks Alex. The stuff I have machined should make an interesting box, knowing now that I can use it.
