You'll be able to see plenty of demonstartions. Last year in Sydney, the Lie-Nielsen stand had hand tools that you could try. Adria saws likewise.

The major tool and machinery retailers all attend the shows and generally bring a pretty comprehensive range of their stuff.

Generally there is not much of a discount on offer. You may be able to get a bargain on floor stock if you leave it 'till late in the afternoon of the last day.

The shows are also good places to buy timber. Especially the more exotic species.
