    Default woodsmith shop tv

Hello, I get the Etips from the woodsmith shop tv which looks like it would be worth watching but isn't available in Aust yet (as far as I can find out). They don't seem to have any DVD's available YET, but there is mention elsewhere of podcasts available but I can't seem to find them, I was wondering if anyone had come across any podcasts or videos of the show??

    Tx

    Hi Bob K,

I don't know about the "Woodsmith TV" but I downloaded a few of the woodsmith podcasts through iTunes. They should be found my doing a search for "Woodworking online". They filmed seminars and demonstrations in the US and they're pretty good. Also, If you're looking for podcasts, I recommend the "wood whisperer". He charges for podcasts now, but he used to do free vids. They should still be available on iTunes for free and there's 119 free vids to keep you busy.

    Hope this helped,

    Tom

Woodsmith holds weekly evening seminars in Des Moines US where they are based. They used to record these and put them up as podcasts. There are about 45 in the series at present here. New podcasts are few and far between at present, possibly because they are committing their production capacity to the TV show.

I subscribe to Woodsmith and Shopnotes and have enquired to August Home about the TV series being made available by some other means for people outside the US. To date they seem unwilling to commit in regard to either DVD's or podcasts, probably because they or PBS (broadcast network) are reserving their option for future commercial release.

The Wood Whisperer site is here and has embedded videos many of which can be downloaded in different formats at no charge.
