I'll wait until all 3 parts have downloaded, then put the bits back together into one full episode. I also just added them to the forums' Video section in 'Instructional/Demonstrations', but they won't appear immediately, not until they've been vetted by the powers-that-be. Edit: I should have added - after pasting the link into KeepVid, press the 'Download' button to the right, (not the ones immediately below the text box, they're just ads), then a list of available formats will appear. Right-click on the one of your choice and 'Save Target As' to your computer. (IE) There's also an equivalent in Firefox etc.
Thanks how about on an iPad / iPhone

Thank you to all that have watched it so far.

I agree the Bench was a bit wobbly, fixed it up for the rest of the series, though I think it shakes a bit in Eps.4

    Hi Steve

Excellent video. I caught up with it on Youtube. What I particularly like was the naturalness of the presentation. Pacing was good - until the end, when it appeared a rush to get the last bit done (the carcase) and so was described rather than demonstrated.

One question, why do you occasionally refer to the #7 as a "shooter"?

The other item (that brought out the OCD in me) was not setting the board in the vise horizontal when planing it. The angle made the task look awkward.

    All-in-all first rate! Goodonya!

    Regards from Perth

    Hi Derek,

Re- #7 Force of Habit, for those that are confused the correct name is either a Jointer or Trying Plane that covers not only #7's but 8's as well.
Thanks for bringing it to my attention Derek.

RE- Planing in the vise, From my point of view (over the top of it) it looked fine, it wasn't until I saw the finished episode I noticed it was a little skew-whiff, still we got there in the end and all in one take, sadly budget did not allow for any re-takes.

As for rushing at the end yep, bit hard to think straight with a director madly whirling his hands around in a frantic wrap up manner.

Cool though, and thanks for taking so much interest in the show, hope you enjoy the rest in the series.

Definitely more mistakes to come in fact, next episode, I actually cut myself and continue to bleed as I work. "Aaaaah how we suffer for the Craft."

    Cheers

    Steve

I did a search last night, Dave, but couldn't find anything unfortunately.

The videos are now available in the 'Videos' section here, but still via YouTube, (embedded player).

Thanks for looking. I watched one on YouTube. The streaming is slow on 3G.

I need a new laptop - one day. Disc is full

    Default Studio Audience Tickets

    Hi Steve,

Greetings from Perth on the West side of the Country.

I'm really enjoying your show on Channel 44 here in Perth. Season 1 episode 4 tonight.

It is now in the prime time slot of Saturday evening at 7:30pm and repeated at 3:30pm on Sunday.

You've already got better than "Hey Hey it's Saturday status!" I can't wait for Season 2 to screen.

I'm coming to the Gold Coast next week. Any chance of visiting / purchasing a ticket to be in the studio audience.

    Very best regards, Chris
