Seeking Information on 深沢林蔵(Fukazawa Rinzo) Nokogiri Blacksmith
I keep a keen eye out on eBay for bargains. Such a bargain popped up yesterday. A hand made New/Old stock nokogiri by a blacksmith called 深沢林蔵 (Fukazawa Rinzo). I have been able to find that there were are two other saw smiths named Fukazawa so I can only assume that they are all related.
深沢 勝次 FUKAZAWA KATUJI
深沢 清吉" FUKAZAWA SEIKICHI
The only other things I know are that its over 30 years old and Fukazawa Rinzo no longer makes saws.
Does anyone have any information to share? Or Can anyone read the inscriptions?
This is some photos of my score total cost AUS $39 including postage. It comes with the plastic cover case as far as I understand these are reserved only for the more pricy nokogiri.

Hi Thumsucker,
Don't know if the saw is still available but I'll put my $0.02 in.
I have hand made and machine made saws and in my not particularly well educated opinion, I would say this is machine made.
It may well turn out to be a very nice saw and at that price it's worth the risk. It would also give you the experience of making a handle, which I find a lot of fun.

I bought the saw its on the way 10 to 20 days.
Why machine made?
My knowledge pales to yours however the teeth have the little indentations from being set by hand, and the tang part is black showing that it was forge welded to the blade.
Maybe its half machine and half and hand made?
