    Default Angle dimension in Sketchup

Does anyone know how to dimension an angle in Sketchup 8 or 14?
I have been looking at the help tutorials which indicate that there is an angle dimension tool, but I can't find it anywhere. Is this just a Windows problem, or is it not available on Mac as well unless you buy the pro version?
The help files don't indicate whether they are referring to the free version or Pro.
I am new to this world, so maybe I am missing something.
    Thanks in advance.

The protractor allows me to measure an angle, but it does not allow me to show a dimension on the page like you can with linear and circular dimensions. Or did I miss something?

not sure if you can do that but would be handy if someone knows how? I usually just put a note pointing to the angle using the text tool.

You must have been looking at the Help files regarding LayOut instead of SketchUp. There is no native tool in SketchUp Pro or Make for inserting angular dimensions. There is, however, in LayOut. LayOut is included with the pro version of SketchUp. It has much better dimensioning tools than SketchUp and if you are making dimensioned drawings for plans or whatever, it is worth having.

Treecycle, I set or at least tried to send you a PM with some further help. Not sure it got through.

    Hi Treecycle,

Mate sorry I only just saw this, there isnt really anything that comes with SU however you can load a plugin that gives you this ability, allows for both internal and external radius dimensions, might not help you know but might help someone else down the road. depending on your version you might need to try a few but this one works for me.

Thanks, skara. This was settled way back in June. As I recall, that plugin was one of the solutions.
"Folks say that if you listen real close at the height of the full moon, when the wind is blowin' off Nantucket Sound from the nor' east and the dogs are howlin' for no earthly reason, you can hear the awful screams of the crew of the "Ellie May," a sturdy whaler Captained by John McTavish; for it was on just such a night when the rum was flowin' and, Davey Jones be damned, big John brought his men on deck for the first of several screaming contests."
