G'day mate. I haven't used either of these design programs. But for the past 10 years I've been using the Canadian program 20/20. This program will do everything you're looking to do.
You can start with the basic kitchen design program and then add cutting list and further upgrades as required.
Google 20/20 design program and that should take you straight to it. Oh yeah, it takes a little bit of time to get used it. But now, I can design a large kitchen within about 45 minutes.
Best of luck

Fully agree with Ian.
I have just gone back to school and all the machines - CNC, laser cutter, 3D mill, etc - all the machines speak AutoCAD. Interestingly, a lot of my fellow students say that Rhino is better for 3D-design, AutoCAD is better for 2D, but you still have to convert from Rhino to AutoCAD so that the machines can understand. Hope this makes sense.
Personally, I am not far enough along the learning curve to make a recommendation, but both are massive programs and I would suggest that it is cost-effective to do a course rather than bungling along teaching yourself.
