Default iMac Finder Preview for Sketchup .skp files?

    Hi all,

A few weeks ago I spent a lot of time chasing down how to see a preview of my .skp files using just by browsing using Finder on a iMac.

I'm pretty sure it was an external app and NOT a Sketchup extension.

Could have sworn it was a batch process.
i.e. Execute the app and select the folder and convert.

I usually post here about cool finds but can't seem to find it.

I'm on Flu meds over the last few days so a bit ditsy at the moment.

Any positive constructive assistance would be greatly appreciated.
    Thanks,

    GraphicConverter
    (NOT Graphic 's' Converter i.e. no 's')

On Mac use Crome (trust me)

    http://softs.macvf.com/lemkesoft/gra..._build2589.dmg

    Install
    then execute
GraphicConverter | File | Browse ... | Select any folder
Its faster if you select a .skp sub folder with a few .skp files

GraphicConverter will open its browser with folder names window in the left pane and the preview contents in the right pane.

You can simply use the GraphicConverter browser to locate the .skp file using this preview and leave it at that.

Or you can select all the files in that folder in the GraphicConverter browser and use the Action (gear icon on far right) | misc ... | Create Preview

And now thru Finder you'll see the previews.

I don't recall this being the solution I found a few weeks ago.
But once it's been setup its pretty easy to do.
If I can remember once every 4 or more weeks to convert.
    Thanks,

The browser part of GraphicConverter isn't as nice as I want it to be.

I'd like to be able click on the root folder of "Sketchup Projects".
And do a search for .skp including sub folders.

Then have the browser show me all the previews of the .skp files it found.

Of course i could be missing something in GraphicConverter.

I had to step thru every folder one at a time till I found my project.
    Thanks,

I think my Trial 2017 has fixed this on iMac.
i.e. whatever drivers iMac uses to preview .skp files has been fixed after 2017 install.
