I brought three seperate parts of the tree together as one today.

You can see the parts hanging from a string in previous pics. I just have to add some nests and a few other details.

Thanks George, just in passing the most abundant pine that gets thrown in the bin at work is 120 x 35mm which has pencil round edges. Are you able to Rip the edges off ok? And dock a few knots off? If so, I'll begin collecting it for you.

I brought a few more pieces together today thanks to the holiday Queen.

    Default Mohair mayhem

Way too cold in the shed for now so production has moved inside and onto the "coffee" table where I risk life and limb if any epoxy glue gets out of control. I know it may be difficult to imagine, especially while in this state of production, but the Lombardy Poplar is the inspiration for the latest tree while most of the nearly completed Willows stand on temporary blocks.

    Default All done

The last tree, twelve in total, not sure if they'll all make the cut though.

Well, it's on to the base. It's amazing how much good to excellent quality furniture can be had for so little. Seemingly, dark furniture is out of fashion these days. I'm astonished that most people value flat pack mdf or chipboard arrangements over well crafted, albeit "old fashioned" solid wood furniture that can be had for song. Anyway, I picked up this round table at a charity store for $10. I could have bought the matching four chairs for another $10, yep that's $2.50 a chair but I didn't need them. I'm not saying that it was the most well crafted table known to man but try buying the timber and constructing it for $10. It's a Collingwood four feet in diameter. I removed the poorly repaired skirt and leg bracing as I was only after the top and I'll add some legs in due course.

Interlude for now while I handle some unexpectations:

Back on track, only a month to go to the show, tension is rising, familiar territory. A bit of woodwork on the undercarriage, nothing fancy, just angles, glue and screws.

Really? From what I've seen she's always sang with conviction
