What am I missing - excel formula
Done many a formual but for some reason a simple one like this won't work in excel for me
=SUM(A2:A27)-(E37:E47)
for some reason it will add up the A2 to A27 but not subtracted the E...
If I do this =SUM(A2:A27)-E37 it will subtract the E37
What simple thing have I missed
I know its gonna be a
when someone points it out - always is

(E37:E47) is a range, and excel doesn't know what value to use. Try
=SUM(A2:A27)-SUM(E37:E47)Chris
