Gmail Users
Before Gmail I used Thunderbird and had no problems sending Pics as attachments, it was easy, right click on the pic and the context menu opened up, select send to > email recipient and windows resized the pic and attached it to a blank email.
Now I use Gmail Win 10 won't do that as it does not have a default app, so how do others handle this. What I did today as a work around was use the context menu, it resized the pic and gave me a size then I closed that and resized it in paint to about the same size and attached it which is a lot of hassle to say the least. My problem is I don't understand or know how big a given pic should to make it viewable to the recipient. Is there an automated way to resize and attach to a Gmail email?CHRIS

Dunno about resizing Chris - my recipients get whatever it is. Just drag and drop the pic, and you can do it inline (wherever the cursor is is where the pic will go).

Brett, that is one way but sometimes the pics can be quite large like 2-3MB. If the context menu is used in Windows as I used to do that same pic would be well under 1MB and for some recipients that is important because they are on limited data plans or dodgy 56K modems.

I only use the app on my phone, or the website from a pc. If I must send a smaller sized image, I resize it, then just drag it in and send it.
