That depends on what software you use.
my 11 year old son did this for me last year with flash, but he wouldn't tween.
http://people.aapt.net.au/~mickandsteff/ I farted around with dreamweaver and eventually uploaded it, but it was a pain, there are easier programs to use, but probably not many betterMick

Thanks for the quick replies guys.
I have no software programmes such as Dreamweaver.
And i'm not computer savvy.
I play around in power point and find that looks far from proffesional as well as taking ages to find the different things im trying to work with.
Looks like we will have to go to someone who know what they are doing.
Just thought to save a few dollars'
Thanks again, FredCheers Fred

Fred, it depends on what you are trying to achieve.
If it's for your business, then don't muck around, pay someone who will properly reflect your business.
Otherwise, there are many online templates that you can use if you poke around a bit.
In the early days I used to simply use a word processor and the "save to html" feature. It all depends on how fancy you want to get.
Cheers,
P

Fred.....who do you get your internet connection from?..I am with optus , it allows me to use three pages in my own little web space ...it uses templates ...that by the way do nothing for me .....but you can play with it all the same ....alternatively ...open up an msn account ....create a group.....and play around in there, it has an easy to use html editor .....and help desk .....

Depends on what you want - how many pages, and how often they'll change.
If it's likely to be a small number of fairly static pages, you could also look at GooglePages:
http://pages.google.com
It's free, and pretty simple.
If the website is likely to have multiple pages, and be regularly updated, have a look at a CMS (Content Management System) like Joomla or Drupal.
I've used Drupal for two sites:
http://www.cathymakindanceacademy.com.au
and
http://www.poulilandscapes.com.au
as it means I can hand over the maintenance of the site to the owners (who aren't IT experts). It also gives you a stack of features you may not have considered, such as security, indexing, menuing, logs, search feature etc. etc.
Drupal is usually installed free by most hosting companies - it lives on their servers, rather than on your PC, so you skip the "uploading, fixing link problems, fixing permissions problems, repeat," roundabout
Cheers,
Andrew

The biggest problem I have with creating a web site isn't the tools, it's the actual design i.e. how it's going to look.
The technical part I don't have a problem with but my design skills suck!
Creating a website that keeps visitors interested and wanting to come back is a real talentGeoff

i think a lot depends on what you want it to do.
i have a small website through webcity that is just some added advertising and somewhere for me to point people to.
I have no idea with computers however was able to knock this up with the program they had;
armearth.com
not very exciting but shows what you can do.
cheers
