    Default Spell checker

    I have just reinstalled Windows xp/3 and have i/e 8,
    Spell checker has gone since this new installation does anyone here please know how to get it back either on ubeaut or internet explorer 8.

    I have heard the one about looking in the bookcase

    I don't know if IE8 has an inbuilt spellchecker. You could try right clicking in the menu bar ->customise->add or remove commands..., and see if it's listed. If not, download iesplell. It's free, and works well.

    Thanks Chrisb, No nothing there, it appears microsoft i/e 8 has now gone off its usual co operative agreement with add ons. I cannot install google toolbar on i/e 8 and it looks like the spell checker option has now also gone.
    But I thought I would ask here with your expansive knowledge base.

    OK, I have found this free spell checker and got it on my toolbar.
