Unable to connect to WiFi.
G'Day,
I have a Toshiba Satellite L750 laptop, since Friday I have not been able to connect to my WiFi.
I have tried to follow Telsta support helpline but the FN and F8 keys does not work.
I tried to connect the Ethernet cable from my desk top but still no connection.
The laptop works fine with mobile Broad Band.
Hopefully some one will be able to help.
Cheers,
Mark.

I had more hassles with my laptop and desktop one day last week than I could poke a stick at, getting to the stage of taking the laptop over to the neighbours to see if I could connect to their WiFi (without success), and as a last resort I rang a computer repair mob who listened carefully to a range of symptoms I was having. They came to the conclusion that I had real problems, and that they had better make a house call. Problem was, they couldn't come out for a week to ten days! This is in suburban Sydney, so I wasn't happy.
In desperation, I turned both the laptop and desktop off, waited a minute or so, turned both back on, and waddya know? Everything was back to normal.
Darn computers.
Long story short - try turning it off for a while and give it a rest. You might be lucky like me.

Last week SWMBO says the wifi connection to the TV isn't working.
This happens every now an then and a reboot of the PC connected to the TV, or the wireless relay station in the middle of the house that the TV connects to, fixes the problem.
Well SWMBO tried that a couple of times and that didn't work so I came up from the shed and had a look around.
USB Wireless dongle on TV PC is missing?
Sometimes one of the dogs, who watches the TV from the moment its turned on, jumps up and barks at images of animals or baddies and she has knocked the USB dongle out of its socket - so look around and around - sorry no show. Half an hour later I'm walking down to the shed and there it is on the back law, a few teeth marks on it but it still works OK. We are also dog sitting our son's two dogs - could have been one of them.
