Win 7 Boot Crash
Hey guys,
64bit Win7, last week it crashed and would not boot even from the disc - this is a legit version.
All I could do was get another hard drive and start from scratch - luckily I was able to access the old drive and get of most of stuff although I'm still looking for the Firefox bookmarks.
Today it happened again, boot error on restart, would not do a repair instal but I was able to do to a full re-instal via the disc.
I doubt it would be malware as I installed AVG with the first reload.
Could it be a hardware issue?
This box is five years old and has always run 24/7 so I know it's near the end of it's life.
Cheers

I am no expert although I had a very similar problem a few months back turned out to be a memory failure, the guru's replaced the memory and no more probs
