Lewis .... I always thought that the beard was real but from reading your post it would appear that you have the option of taking it off and putting it on again, like your glasses!

    Hi Michael,
Took it off once, nearly froze to death, never ever again.
Well had the Cataracts done, & can almost get away with out Those Coke Bottle Glasses now.

Looks like I'll be there around lunch time. I'll have some cast/stabilized pen blanks and jars of coffee grinds in the back of the car for sale if anyone wants some.

I sent an email to the club offering to bring my casting stuff down, so any of their members could see demo if they were interested, but no reply as yet.

    Neil,
I will mention your offer to those running the exhibition in the morning, and if they are happy for you to exhibit and/or sell, we can give you a ring prior to you arriving.
I look forward to meeting you there. and seeing your castings in person.

Great to meet up with you today Neil. Can't wait to turn up some of those blanks you cast.
Below are some photos at the end of today. Starting to get thin on the sale tables already.

Yep, it was an interesting day, the standard of workmanship was high. Also lovely ladies running the kitchen, beautiful hot scones with jam and cream , for morning tea/lunch/afternoon tea (yes I ate too much, again ).

Bought a few supplies off Jim but unfortunately my CBN hasn't come in yet. Couldn't resist a couple of small bowl blanks of dead finish and beefwood. Seems strange buying Qld timbers in Geelong, but the prices were too low to resist, plus colour and grain look really good. I even debated buying some of Dallas's pens, good quality and at a price far less than what I sell for
