Unfortunately I can't go but asked a friend to have a look. If none available I'll get back to you subject to getting freight to me sorted. Thanks for getting back to me Greg.

Boutique Auction timber
Hi Greg
I am looking forward to your auction and the pre-dinner drinks and BBQ.
Here are some pics of things I have made from timber I bought at previous auctions.
You guys put together great auction. A lot of different timbers and excellent prices.
See you Saturday and at the auction on Sunday.Scally

I arrived home this afternoon after enjoying the auction yesterday and typical Ward hospitality last night. I have had rather a complicated week including some German visitors and an associated family short holiday at Byron Bay so, after dropping the Germans at Brisbane airport the day before and dropping my family at Ballina Airport on the day, I didn't get to the auction until about 2pm. Apparently the weather was a little unkind during the day but the hardy attendees got the benefit of buying some fantastic timber at attractive prices without too much competition. During my 45 minutes of auction, I managed to buy a red gum burl and a sling of cypress pine weather boards....
... all for a purchase price of $300
As my plans had changed (many times) before the visitors arrived, I didn't have NCA's trailer with me and so I could only buy what would fit on or in the Landrover ........

..... and 'fit' it did!..... but the timber (and my visitor's and family's excess luggage!) left no spare seat for any hitchhikers on the return journey?
As I have now been to 2 of these auctions, I can seriously recommend it to everyone on the forum AND if anyone is interested and cannot attend next year, I would be happy to proxy your bids if you let me know what lot number and what your maximum bid is? I can also arrange transport but on the understanding that YOUR timber will be the first to be jettisoned IF the hitchhiker is really attractive!

First two photos not happening for me Mr Flett.
But that is a goodly stack of cypress WBs. Nice big burl too. Is there a plan for the burl or was it just nice and shiny and could not be resisted. Those were the droids I was looking for.

You must be getting old Alan you keep forgetting you have roof racks. OR s you still recalling that timber you got from Graham that almost went sailing across the M7.
No good me having you buying and delivering once across the boarder it would be tossed.
Good haul though.

I can't make them work either?
"nice and shiny" is good isn't it...?
I had the roof racks in the back under suitcases, buckets, spades, cast iron door stop (?) .... but I was worried about the weight on the roof. I didn't think about the hitchhiker until later?
