Default Buy a Clear Vue Cyclone for 1655.00

I wanted to put this post up incase you can't get a group buy organized. It is for a single CV1800 unit with a 5hp 3phase Leeson motor, 16" Blower and 2 Wynn Filters.

I have just checked an alternative shipping method. UPS has three divisions: UPS, UPS Supply Chain Solutions (which used to be Emery Air Freight) and UPS Freight. Anyway, I checked with UPS Supply Chain Solutions and here's what they have. For less than 500# we can do an Air shippment (3-5 days) to the airport in Melbourne for 647.00. That would include the following:
CV1800 Combo, 3 phase motor and 2 Filters
The prices would be as follows:
    CV1800 Combo with 5hp Leeson 3 phase motor .....1045.00
    Add 80.00 for a 16" Blower housing & Impeller......... 80.00
    2 - Wynn 9L300BL filters 85.00 ea........................ 190.00
    Sub Total .......................................................1315.00
    Shipping ......................................................... 647.52
Total to the Air Port in Melbourne ........................1962.52
    The prices are in $USD.

On top of that price, as mentioned previously in this thread, there would also be your duties and taxes.

Buy a Clear Vue Cyclone for 1655.00

That can be the heading for the new thread.

We have verified that our Leeson 5hp 3 phase motor will work on your 415 V 50 hz current. If we can get enough orders (5 minium) to make an ocean shippment, the costs are as follows:

    CV1800 LH Combo with Leeson 5HP 3phase motor & 16" impeller 1125.00
2 Wynn 9L300BL filters 190.00 this includes shipping to our shop from Wynn so we can make an ocean shippment.
    Shipping 340.00
    Total 1655.00
    The prices are in $USD.
For those of you who want to purchase a unit without the motor and get one over there, the cost would be 200.00 less or 1455 total.

    I'm still keen.
I definitely want 16" fan and housing,
I almost definitely want filters and 18" cyclone,
    I don't think i want the leeson,

Okay looks like this thing is getting real legs now, Ed & Hugh I admire your patience.

I'm still interested in one of those Minis - what's the latest on the cost for them? I assume that they'll be part of the same order?

    Cheers

2 - Wynn 9L300BL filters 85.00 each should be 170.00 to my reckoning NOT 190.00.

    HItch,

Not meaning to be rude or anthing but Ed states above:

"2 Wynn 9L300BL filters 190.00 this includes shipping to our shop from Wynn so we can make an ocean shippment."

That's where the extra comes from.

Steve your not rude you're just wrong - through this potential customers eyes at least.

To me, the purchaser viewing the summary of price as set out in the post, (which I know was an attempt at clarity) I see only that $85 x 2 = $190 and not the expected $170 - in Aus anyway!

You see Steve the cost for Ed to supply the 9L300BL's through this process is $95 each due to his internal US overheads. Why not just record it that way.

No big deal so lets not get all excited about it. Just a matter of accuracy/clarity re cost and requirements that some here seem to be struggling with.

Ed's a lucky man to have you on his team. Grrrruffff!

    Sure. That's right.

What I do want to nail down though is the pricing.

If I want the CV1800 with 15" blower housing and impeller without the motor that is $1045-200 = $845
    then filters $190 (as noted)
shipping by sea if there's enough interest = $340
    total in USD $1375

Is this right and is the freight for an individual unit or for the shipment? i.e. Do we all pay $340?

I think I am settled on these specs if I can raise the money. Have we set a deadline?

Answers to these questions will really help me step up to the plate.

    That's what i make it.

That will have to be fine tuned, as some people will want less (cyclone only or no motor etc) - and it will be like a dinner out ("but i didn't have an entree"," well, i only had a salad")
The point is the whole unit (option 4 below) should be landed for US$340, Ed will get charged to send 1 shipment based on Volume, we will have to chip in as appropriate to cover that cost.
-At this stage work on $340 freight to a port in australia. It may be less, it depends on numbers
-Customs, well they sent me a link, but it was like reading treacle.
I'd work on 5 to 10% but if anyone can work out how a cyclone is classified, please...
    -Port and customs fees
-Collection, storage and distribution - any volunteers?
    -Freight to your door

I'm not too sure how many options Ed is offering us though.

From the last thread i think there will be 4 prices needed
1/- CV1800 -18" cyclone only - to be used with existing dust vac blowers
    US$425 + US$ (?) shipping

2/- 18" '3hp' - 18"cyclone,15" blower and housing, blast gates, hanging bracket and filters - no motor, find your own 3hp single phase
    US$1375

3/- 18" '5hp' -8"cyclone,16" blower and housing, blast gates, hanging bracket and filters - no motor, find your own 5hp single or three phase
    US%1455

4/- 18" Combo - 18" cyclone 16" fan and housing, blast gates, hanging bracket and filters with the 5hp 3ph leeson
    US$1655

That's my thoughts on it anyway
Maybe Ed can confirm what options we have?

Hugh and everyone else who is interested,
If we are going to end up with each order different and not in any particular order, then the shipping quote is going to have to be obtained after we know exactly what everyone wants. The 340.00 number was basically 5 boxes: Cyclone, Blower housing box, motor box and 2 filter boxes. I think the shipping prices are based on two things....volume of the shipment and weight. The cyclones are the lightest item but the largest.....so prices are going to vary based on those two factors. I can't get quotes from UPS on every possible variation ahead of time so, based on the 340.00 ocean shipping cost, we can only estimate that cyclones (the biggest package will be most of that cost but less that 340.00 ea and blower housings (which include the blower, impeller, transition to filters, hanging bracket & hardware would be much less than 340.00 ea in quantities. I wish I could give you unlimited choices with costs upfront, but I can't.

    Regards,

    Ed

c'mon, i know a few of you are 'interested' (what the heck happened to apricotripper?, i thought he was gonna get 7 of them)

If we have a number we can get a price.
If we allow $340 for shipping then whatever is surplus can go on domestic freight,

All you have to do is check your power supply and register an "interest"

    Hi Hugh,

I am interested (in a 15"LH combo with no motor + filters) but I can't make a firm committment yet. This (below) was the offer Ed made on page three of the original thread. The numbers have drifted since then. Particluarly for the shipping and the filters. I should say at this point that I do appreciate all the effort that has been made to get this thing going. Thanks Hugh, thanks Ed. I have a question. Ed, Are the discounts on the main units still right if we get these numbers? I am trying to make the case to the "financial controller" and I have to illustrate the benefit of participating in this deal. After all I would be spending her money as well as my own.

    Steve

"Next, to the larger units, I believe that leaving the motor off would be the best choice for all concerned. If you can get up an order for 5 units (CV1800), we would give you a price of 800.00 ea + filters + shipping. If you can get an order up for 10 units, we could give you a price of 750.00 + filters + shipping. Rick Wynn is hoping to get the shipping cost in the area of 300/ unit. Using that as a number for now, the total cost of the unit would be 800 + 150 (filters) + 300 (shipping) = 1250.00 without a motor. If you get the quantity to 10 units, the cost would be 1200.00 without the motor. This is all dependent on the shipping cost and as I said, we should know something tomorrow. Also, we can supply a motor plate to fit your metric motors, but I don't what to have to make 5 or 10 different motor plates. Someone on your end needs to investigate which motor you want to use, settle on it and then we'll supply motor plates and bushings for that motor."
