DIY apology
Neil,
No excuses, I was wrong, I am wrong and I apologise humbly,
genuinely and completely. At the time I posted the original it didn't occur
to me that is was spam as it was done purely in fun. My message to you was
uncalled for, unnecessary and unwarranted and I am very very sorry for the
upset and hurt I have caused you.
I composed a big email to you last night, went to send it and
deleted the bloody thing instead so today you are just getting the bare
bones but you are getting the really important bit, the apology.
If I ever get back to the forum I shall post the first paragraph
of this for all to see.
once again, sorry! Chris
I decided to post the whole thing for you all to see, this is NOT at Neils request, it is my way of showing all and sundry that my regret for my foolish message to Neil is my main regret in all this stupid drama.
As for the rest of you..... I am sorry for any upset and I shall try to be a little more careful what I post in future, I shall, more importantly, try not to react too quickly and in a more considered manner.... having said that I shall probably fly off at the mouth as usual on occasion, but please realise that 99.9% of my narky posts are and always have been with my tongue firmly planted in my cheek and with a broad wink, OK?
I am sorry it has taken this long to get to do this but as I was banned I had no way of either apologising, explaining or defending myself.
Many thanks to those who sent emails, they were much appreciated.

Good to see you come back.
I have always taken your posts to be tongue in cheek, as are mine to you.

Welcome back Chris. Perhaps the forum should introduce the Driftwood Foot award - perhaps an icon that the bearer must include in his signature until someone else commits a howler and it's passed on (no, I don't think I should get it first for suggesting it)

Yeh, whatever - enough with the navel gazing. Listen I was thinking of running some polypipe between the laundry and the bathroom, rather than use copper - cause I can't bend the copper and polypipe is really cheap what do you reckon?
And I was thinking of running an electrical lead through my garden to the shed to provide power - I mean we hardly ever use the garden so it should be okay? okay?
