Default DOWNSIZING - Woodworking Tools For Sale

    Greeting friends.
We are downsizing and I will be offering for sale over the coming days, weeks and possibly months, some items - hand tools mostly - for sale.
As those of you who have come to know me are aware, my tools are often old, always in good condition and usually sharp. If you are looking for anything in particular, let me know and I'll see if I have one or similar. I have no items in this post but will start with some backsaws later today.

The purpose of this missive is to a) give you a heads up, and b) to re-assure everyone that I am not - repeat NOT - departing woodwork.
I am active in the Hastings Woodworkers Guild (Secretary), I write a BLOG on my woodworking (The Village Woodworker), and I would rather lose an arm than depart the woodworking world. So, please, no need to send off PM's about my woodworking plans.

Downsizing hurts, because it forces us to make decisions about what to keep and what to let go. This will be a painful process for me, but will hopefully lead to others sharing in some woodworking history by way of these old tools.

    Stay posted.
    Let the pain begin.

    Cheers
    SG

    Default We feel your pain

We feel your pain. Its hard when you come to the realisation & make the decision that some things have to change and you must move on and make the best of what you have. Quality over quantity.

Good luck with the decision making and the sale.

BTW Mr Brush: A group of vultures is called a
wake, committee, venue, kettle, or volt. The term kettle refers to vultures in flight, while committee, volt, and venue refer to vultures resting in trees. Wake is reserved for a group of vultures that are feeding
