Default Huon Pine show

Hi,

There's a show on ABC1 this afternoon at 5:00 called "The Oldest Australian". It apparently talks about Huon Pine - its history, uses, how the pioneers found it etc. Might be worth a watch.

Yep. Its a Huon Pine 'tree' that was found which has cloned itself and is a about 10,000 years old. The original tree is long gone but the organism is the same plant. Worth a look.

If this is the one about the blokes who would go up the Gordon River to fell the logs, and it has interviews with them, then its definitely worth a watch. It makes you appreciate the timber a lot more.

Nathan.
