Gents thanks for the chatter it sounds great BUT sad to say old timers with mobile smart phones just don't seem to go together. I praise young Dave up crutches kids, wife and he still remembers his smart phone is for more than just phone calls

Maybe Paul has photo's all be they will be of spoons.

Not wishing to detract from Dave's ingenuity, but there was a sign on the gate suggesting the site people could log on to and purchase tickets, thereby jumping to the shorter queue. Dave may or may not have seen it.

The organisers seemed to be doing everything they could to get people in as quickly as possible.

    Cheers

I was going to take some photos after I got around the things I wanted to do. However by that stage the crowd was very large and all I could see to photograph was the backs of people's heads.

    Cheers

Make sure you post the ones you took after they turned gravity back on too.

    Cheers

Home now from the pub...... as the last post may have indicated.....

    image.jpg image.jpg image.jpgimage.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

...... and the (infamous) queue to get in...

Nup, it wasn't the pub that rotated the pics?

For those who had missed the subtlety of the exchange above, one of the trades being showcased was miniatures..... what we used to know as 'lead soldiers'. I gather they don't use lead any more but it was fascinating to see whole regiments being accurately modelled, cast and painted. This little French Revolution diarama has figures modelled at less than 20mm high and the detail is simply amazing, even if a bit gruesome....

Maybe I should take this up as a hobby rather than woodwork and solve my space problem?

    fletty

EDIT: if anyone has worked out how to stop pictures from rotating while being posted, please tell me as I'm getting a stiff neck! All I can add to the solution is that it MOSTLY happens to square format?

    Default Look Alike?.

    Hi Dallas,
I wished it was me + I wood have taken the rod as well.
I take it you went, had a good time.
Wanted to go, but was a little worried about the trip actually.
Could have done the walk OK, as I could have sat down quite often.
When I said to my ride I couldn't make it, he turned around & took on some jobs, as I had then been given the OK to go. So I missed this year, so to the next.
    Regards,
    issatree.
