Looking for donations for a school fundraiser
G'day.
My apologies if I am in the wrong area for this type of posts.
My kids go to a small school that heavily relies on support of local community.
There is a big fund raiser coming up in a few months and they are looking for
good quality donations to put up in the auction.
I will be putting up a few things that I have made. I am wondering if there is anyone else who would like to present some of the fruits of their labours up for a good cause.
I am happy to cover the freight expenses.
Thank you very much.

Chambers Flat is in Logan, south of Brisbane (approx 40 km away from the city center).
The school is St Philomena on Koplick rd. off Chambers Flat rd. We live on Chambers flat rd,
2 minutes away.

Hi Alex, What is the money raised likely to be used for ?.
It might be easier for some who would be willing to help to just give a few dollars .

the school was recently approved for grades up to year 9. therefore they require a new building.
I am not sure if getting involved with cash is such a good idea. I am sure our dear forum administrators will have a view on the issue.
I thought with people donating something they have made it will be a bit more straightforward. However, if people are happy to contribute in a monetary manner without too much trouble to anyone, i am sure school would accept any gift great or small.
if I can get some indication on behalf of forum representatives that would be very helpful.
Thanks.

Alex, I have run this past Ubeaut and, as in the past, he has indicated that he doesn't want the forum to be involved in raising/soliciting cash donations.
There has been one notable exception in the past where $4000 was raised for Blaze Aid after the bush fires, but that was an exceptional circumstance.
Hope that clears up your query?

thank you very much. I have assumed so.
What about requesting donations in form of objects and creations in wood and other mediums? Would that be acceptable?
