Wish I could be there. Last time I was up that way I called in to Maleny and it is a beautiful environment for such a show. I have friends at Coloundra who have been to the show, and they raved about what was on display and being demonstrated (and they are not even into our great woodworking hobby). On the same trip I called in to the Blackall Ranges woodies at Montville, which was also well worthwhile. Very friendly, enthusiastic bunch with lots of good gear to work with.
Very nice pieces of Fiddleback Maple, and I hope the weekend is successful for you.

Going to be the first one I've missed for quite a few years

IMHO best wood show in Aus . It will probably eventually replace WWW show (in Brisbane at least). Much cheaper for stall holders, stall holders (and some hangers on ) get to camp there for nicks, the timber seems cheaper and a better range due to more large and small suppliers. Best time is after the public are gone the fires are lit up, musical instruments come out, plus drinks and nibbles under the stars (assuming it doesn't rain ).

Oh, Mapleman, that is truly spectacular, you know a way to a fella's wood lust and wallet! Keep some of that for me. I'll be there early! What about a pre-show sale Friday arvo? I know, that's cheating but please don't make me wake up too early Saturday, Jen won't like me. Do you have a stall number? PM don' give away our assignation!

If anyone gets any of this great figured Maple or other timber for that matter. Bring it over to the Gregory Machinery Stand and we'll happily dress it, flatten it or re-saw it for you for free. New timber only NO RECYCLED STUFF. We will have the New Laguna Spiral Cutter Head Thicknesser and Jointer on hand as well as the Mighty Laguna 14-12 Bandsaw fitted with the Re-Saw King ultra thin Blade. Come and say Hi as we machine your purchases.

    Cheers

I'll be there with bells on!

Will you really dress timber for me? That would be awesome! But I'm thinking of buying more than a couple of boards.

I am thinking of going but will need to take the whole family along as I will be travelling from Brisbane. As such I am looking for an option for discounted tickets
