PM sent Fed, but unfortunately I'm not going anymore. The forecast is for flooding rain until at least Saturday at this stage so the showgrounds will turn into a mud bath, if not flooded completely in the lower areas (including carpark), if the rain turns out as heavy as forecast.

Thanks Neil, we are at Woodford Showgrounds and they are getting a bit soggy too.
Has rained pretty well non-stop for the last 20 hours or so.

Hoping to go Saturday, but as with everyone else a bit concerned about the weather. Have a bandsaw on the shopping list, so hoping any vendors set up for demos are in a shed!

The showground here at Woodford looked like being evacuated late this afternoon, in fact most moved out and are parked in the service road part of Archer St, the main street of Woodford.
We decided to stay but have the 5th wheeler hooked up ready to move out.
The Villeneuve Rd is closed just past the showground gates due to flooding.
We had some very dramatic thunderstorm activity here and in Caboolture this afternoon, hate to think how many mm of rain we had in the last 48 hrs!
Good to hear that Maleny will go on regardless, I'll be there tomorrow and probably also Sunday.

If the rain keeps up it will be a brave man that parks on the oval as usual, if the river comes up, that is where the water floods out from the adjacent river. Should get some warning though, the tennis court will go first

Well weather looks great today, just a question of how many issues there are with roads still cut! I think I'll risk it.

Just arrived in Maleny from the Gold Coast. Bruce Highway down to one lane just north of Caboolture. Came up via Caloundra turn off as Steve Irwin Way was closed (according to the signs).

Woodford-Kilcoy Rd closed just past Villeneuve turn off, Villeneuve Rd closed just past showground.
Stuck here until Kilcoy road opens, they are waiting for an engineer to inspect bridge.
Blue sky with a bit of cloud, no rain in sight.

Might have to try another way, back wards to go forwards, as unlikely engineer will be out to inspect over weekend for country road Fred

Absolutely glorious day here today, and tomorrow should be the same.
I'll head up the hill to Maleny tomorrow when things have dried out a bit. But I expect there'll be some problems with parking as the flat areas will still be boggy.Brian
