Default Melbourne - HTPAA Tool Sale at Carnegie

HTPAA have their first tool sale of the year next Sunday 19th March, 2017. Hand Tool Preservation Association of Australia - Tool Sales

This will be the first sale at the new venue, St Anthony's School Hall (corner Neerim & Grange Rds) Carnegie (let's hope it's a bit more spacious and user friendly than the old site ). I'll be there and hope that any forum members attending will introduce themselves.

    Cheers,
    David

will try and make it see you there hopefully
Some people are like slinkies - not really good for anything, but they
bring a smile to your face when pushed down the stairs .

Thank you for this post. Nice and handy for me.
    Any idea of times?

For those thinking of using public transport, No 67 tram goes down Glen Huntly Road, get off at Grange Road (Subway store on corner); closest railway station is Glen Huntly.

Bloody hell, you know everything else! As an out-of-towner I'll be looking out for that Subway store, thanks. There's a members night on the Saturday from 6:00pm I think and open to the public on Sunday from 9:00am to 1:00pm. Make sure you introduce yourself, this is assuming I find the place.

The two halls were full of stalls. I saw two shooting boards and planes, they just happened to be opposite each other. One was priced >$1000, not sure of the asking price of this one.
Unfortunately I did not get there until just before 12, (but managed to park out side) and the finish time was 12:30 with some stalls packing up from 12:10.

While there were a couple of things I could have been tempted with, my arms were too short and the stall holders were busy with others.

Perhaps next time I will have a bit more time available and more cash with me.

Sorry but the computer appears to have rotated the image.

    Default The Photo.

    Hi Matt,
Thanks for tipping that Photo over.
I hope I'm not to critical, as there have been quite a few getting threw that are around the wrong way.
I shouldn't say anything as I can't even get photos up.
I'm about to have some lessons, as I have release quite a few Tools.
    Regards,
    issatree.

Highlights of the day for me were meeting a couple of forum members, 'fubar' and 'justonething'. The new venue at Carnegie is much more spacious and a real step up on the old site at Hawthorn. Unfortunately access to the new venue is abysmal. Although the organisers indicated that vendors would be able to unload at the hall and then move their car what happened was that it was first in best dressed and once the limited space at the back of the hall was full the gate was closed and no vehicle moving took place as far as I am aware.
    I won't be going again!
