Wouldn't count on there being too many woodwork related stands there.
Last lot to try this failed miserably and if woodworking shows are to continue to run in this country I hope this one does not succeed as there definitely isn't room for 2 major woodworking shows per year in Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra or Melbourne. But then again if you feel the woodwork shows should play second fiddle to a metalwork show and be lumped in with the stitches and craft show and quilting etc then maybe this is the show for you.
A watered down woodwork show with no list or details of exhibitors other than Sydney woodturners club and a surfboard maker. First time major woodworking show up against the timber and working with wood show which is in it's 25th year.
I would not be wasting my money on this one like I did the wood and metal show in Brisbane a couple of years ago.
This one's not for me. But enjoy if you go.
DarkyEvil to the bone. But really cute.

Thinking about it
Just been asked by the Western Woodturners if I would like to share their space at the show. Would love to display "the axe" but I am still deciding. If no one is going it seems like a lot of work for nothing.

I'll say! Maybe they are unable to put up a list of exhibitors (coz it's too short a list)?
Last year's main show (in June) was the first I've been to, so I've nothing to compare it to. Most people seemed to think that is getting smaller and smaller, with less attendees. That being the case, I can't see that trying to run two shows will work - more of a guarantee that both will fail. The idea of combining metal and wood could be good though.

I will probably go on friday as have to take the wife along to the craft show. I think having them combined is a great idea as it will give me something to do (it was appreciated by many men last time I went and the western Sydney wood turners were there). I don't think it will ever compete with the WWWS, but surely any chance to attract new people to the hobby/industry is good. I will try to get to Kiama as well.

Hopefully for all the fellows that "have" to go because of the craft show there is something you can look at but not a lot you could buy.
for $16 i wont be going. I'll have a day trip to Kiama instead.

We went we saw we spent, caught up with Chris (Mini) sorry we left Chris but time was getting close to knock off time for industrial area and its ARPI to head home.
LOML spent more than me and I bought her something also.
For my son https://www.woodworkforums.com/f152/n...g-tool-167368/
All up Stitches and Craft was smaller than 5 or more years ago when we went, man those ladies can spend spend spend and we think we have it bad and feel guilty.
Metal & Woodwork section outside small compact but none the less interesting with the Blacksmiths, Knife Makers a large showing by Western Sydney Wood Turners.
Gate and entry access time could have been handled much better ticket vendors without change then one gate access with bus loads of schoolies and groups.
For goodness sake put them through another gate or some poor old person is going to get hurt, the teachers control should have also been better.

I went today also, I had an image of 87963 nana's with walking frames..... Lets just say it was very easy on the eye!
There was a few woodies stands & like Wheelin said lots of stuff from the Lalor Park boys, Australian knife guild, Trend & Arbortech......
I would say it was a little disappointing, I took a bunch of cash & left with nearly all of it.
If your a keen woody that lived at cronulla I would say don't worry about going, if your local like me, we'll its ok.... I was in & out in around an hour.
Ive never been to a T&WWW show but I hope this is not an indication of what to expect because I'm hanging out for the Sydney show!

Dave I tried to not mention the eye candy best leave them with images of 87963 nana's
Sorry we didn't meet up.
Oh TWWWS s much bigger Trend and Carrols fight for who's biggest each year and take up most space. Lots more wood lots less kids less Nana's tho.
Lots more groups doing their styles of woodwork.
One thing I didn't mention was food prices Sue and I had Fish and Chips very reasonable price as was most food.
