Allan south of the boarder holds very little interest for me other than yourself and a few others we/I know down there to visit, a steam fest or two, gate way to Tassie. The best thing about Victoria is seeing it in the rear vision mirror LOL.
I'll say hi to our mate Munruben.
Fred wash your mouth out spare tools indeed who ever heard of such a thing........just because I have 15+ Phillips screw drivers, 28 straight and 9 stubbies. 4 sets of 3/8 drive sockets what gives you an idea I might have spares

Last weekend we went over to H&F sale for the last time in Sydney......thank goodness the one up in QLD is only 20 mins away.
Today i went out to Trend although it was a last minute choice as a mate Ken (now member on here) is getting into wood turning/woodwork. Mean while Sue visited her old group of friends at spinners and then her life time friend.
Now back to packing.

Hi Ray and Sue,
Good luck with the move. Won't drop in as frequently now and will miss Sue's cooking and smile. Wishing you and Sue all the very best on your move North. You may even find some reasonable timber up that way, and nice to hear Sue will have a sewing room.
Cheers mate,
Paul

Only Resonable timber? Darn we should have gone to Tassie or Rollands Plains then

Well bugger me, moving to where there is only one colour and its MAROON. I really hope you have done your homework Ray, as every time I go to Willowbank Dragway, I freeze my knuts off. I think Ipswich is one of the coldest places I have ever stayed at. PM me some contact details as I will be grabbing a Tonne of Camphor Laurel and going to the drags there 2nd week of June. So if you are set up, I would love to sample some of Sue's famous cake.
Rgds,
Crocy.

Hi Crocy. Maroon eh must be a state of confusion everyone dressed the same LOL. I'm safe from colour racists haven't followed RL since 1966.
Now hows that for planning eh gives us a week to unpack. I guess you've never been to Goulburn then LOL. Yes noticed temps get down a bit, surely it can't be as bad as here when the dogs water out doors freezes.
I did notice all the homes had fire places, gas heater or both, I just thought QLDer's were bad turners/wood workers and had to burn the evidence.
Just had a strange thought wonder who owns Willowbank track?
Do you know Frank Oliverie?
I'll see what I can organise with Sue Crocy. Thats if I can drag her away from the loom or wheels.
Camphor nice it'll help keep the winter flu away.

Packing has taken up 80% of our time for the last 4 weeks with only a day or so break.
Have to thanks Christos for calling out during the week and his help. Then mate Ken (new member on here) who came round yesterday and helped disassemble the Nova, fit wheels to the frame and with the help of Hughie who came round late afternoon demolish the overhead storage frame Fletty & Pat made some years ago. Now there was a frame well built had to be broken apart with a 10lb sledge hammer the Bugle screws were not going to give up easy.
3 weeks and counting.Last edited by wheelinround; 7th May 2016 at 05:30 PM. Reason: Although he acts like one his name is Pat spelling correction

Ipswich is a better option than Brisbane in my opinion
A lot of charm in the old houses there and the park lands are beautiful
Don't understand why this city copes such a bagging
Northside of Brisbane is nice nearer the coast but a lot of high density housing inland...(caboolture and surrounds),puke!!
All the best with your move Ray...MMMapleman

Thanks Chris we will be West of Ipswich, Caboolture was a close choice place had almost all including separate 2 1/2 bay shed it lay on boundry of flood zone though. Have a mate at Little Mountain and now Sue will have a friend at Malloolaba when she moves up.
Sue isn't a beach person, I love it except for rust of vehicles, tools and machines.

I lived in Ipswich for a couple of years while I was at Amberley.... Hotter than Brissy in the summer & colder than Brissy in the Winter, has some pearler thunder storms.
Cliff.
If you find a post of mine that is missing a pic that you'd like to see, let me know & I'll see if I can find a copy.
