Default The Perth Wood Show (August 2007)

The Perth Wood Show is almost upon us and NO ONE seems to have spoken about it. In particular, there is a tradition of meeting for lunch on the Saturday (August 11th) and swapping lies and partners.... well lies at any rate.

    So who is IN?!!

    I am. Who else?

    Regards

    Derek

Derek it will have to be Sundy lunch for me as its her bloody highness's birfdy on the Saturdy ...and mate I for one would not even consider doing anything even remotely linked to my fun and enjoyment on THAT day Heck Im not even allowed the keys to the flamin shed on that day!!! ah well I suppose I shouldnt complain its only ONE DAY a year... thankfully

So anyone goin up for Sundy? Meet where?... Id expect the effy to turn into the parking lot sometime around 11am... big white beast with "backyard legend" sticker on her back door! So anyone doin Sundy? damned if I want to even think about lunching at the shyteshop they call a food hall in the venue so anywhere else to go?

    Cheers!

Les? Who... I dont know who? If I knew who Id just wander by the stall an annoy hell out of everyone there until someone let the cat out of the bag as to who Les is!! so if you want to keep a low profile maybe you should zap me a pm and let me know... cause I can be rather out there when Im tryin to find someone... specially if I KNOW theyre workin somewhere and theres lots of people an theyre tryin to be propa professional... bit embarrassing (for them) when some shortass in a hat starts to yellin

"Oi LES MEYER YER OL WALLY WHERE THE FLAMIN ECK ARE YER!!"

    followed by

"Ooooh LES DARLS YOUR LOVE OF YER LIFE IS HERE I KNOW YER WORKIN ON ONE OF THESE STALLS COME ON HUNNYBUNS IM HERE!!!"

Oh an mate... I dont get embarrassed... but that could be rather stressful for you eh! specially when EVERYONE starts lookin at you sorta weird and stepping back to the wall

but hey its okay if you dont WANT to tell yer ol mate... no its cool... seriously... I'll be disappointed... then Id get even see above

Kerry Kemeko's going I think she said awhile back that she was thinking of taking the caravan up an supplying drinkies an the barbie for all forumites... DIDNT YER KERRY ME DEAR!!

I'll definitely be there. The lunchtime show and tell is one of the highlights of the show. Someone has always seen something that you missed, or has bought something that everyone else can drool over. Good luck on Sunday Les.

    Regards

    Larry

I'm in for lunch on Saturday.

Might go back on Sunday, too. Just to hang around near Les and watch the fun

Nuffin' to do with me, mate.

You need to address your enquiry to our mate with the new hat and the startling resemblance to Spike Milligan.

My role in any of this will be as a mere spectator, I assure you.

So -what time are we meeting on Saturday? As I recall, we usually meet just inside the main entrance at 12 noon. Is that right?

    12 noon it is Col.

Now how will we recognise each other (for the newbies)? What colour frock are you wearing? A wig? Painted faces? Painted chests?

    Default Show virgin

Although I have met Derek, and feel like I know dingo and the rest of you lot, I have yet to attend the show..... I will make at least one of the days - probably Saturday.. Dingo, if you want a cup of tea on the way up, I'll put the kettle on for ya.

Do you think you would recognise me, Derek, or should I wear my chartreuse tutu??

    Looking forward to it..

Am looking at being there some time on the w/e.

See you all Saturday if I'm up in Perth during the week but might share a lift with Dingo if I'm not ... but I haven't told him that ... yet ... well I guess I have now

Either way I'll see some of you then ... for those that miss the saturday crowd (and it should be the meeting time/date as the std) then dingo and I could possibly meet the stragglers at door at noon on sunday

    what of it? Dingo? others??

    ciao
