------------------------------
Got an email supposedly from bunnings warehouse
Advertising Irwin Limited stock run-out in-store.
But no exact details on which products.
Browsed their internet site web pages and no specials to see.
Looks exactly like previous emails from bunnings.
Rang Bunnings HQ.
Reception didn't know about it.
Advertising didn't know about it.
They asked me to send a copy of the email to their scamWatch.
Rang my locals to let them know.
Another warehouse didn't know about it.
Another was very concerned told me I was a good man for letting him know. Thanks,

These scams are rife.
For certain reasons I have a catch all email address, so any prefix to my email address will get through to me. Because of this I can get upwards of 300+ emails per day and way more on a bad day. Up to 90% of them are spam, scams or phishing, etc.
Occasionally I'll get something genuine.

I was getting 300+ at one time.
Telstra wouldn't do anything about it.
Unless I paid extra for something I felt they should be doing.
So created a new email address and left them to deal with the old one.
And have been very careful about giving my new one out.
I have a gmail address to give out when a site is a bit suspect.
I do remember missing the 300+ for a while.Thanks,

It may not be a scam email
I was in Bunnings on Tuesday picking up some gear and they were emptying the Irwin stock of screw tips and bit drivers etc off the shelf and were in the marked down bin
I asked the salesman if they were dropping the Irwin brand and he told me that Irwin has been bought out by Bostich and they have changed the packaging so all the old packaged product gets marked down to clear.
It wouldn’t surprise me if half the people you spoke to didn’t know what the other half there are doing. I have been in before with a trade special that has been emailed to me and the store staff haven’t a clue about it but will honour the price I show them on my email.

Beards nailed it!
Bunnings home page top advert swipe left once.
Lol
Let no good deed go unpunished! Lol
Still wondering which exact items are on.

Update:
Bunnings Hawthorn are the only ones who have the run-out items separated to a sales table.
Some saw blades are included.
They mentioned bags as well.
No clamps so far. Bummer.
LOL!
I'm getting a Safari Can't find the Server on Bunnings Warehouse | Australia's DIY, Garden & Hardware Store
Is it just me?
Might have to crawl back into my cave soon. Thanks,

Bought a bunch of quick grip clamps recently, the 300mm XP twin pack wasn't to be seen but the new HD clamps were in a twin pack at the same price, so situation normal at the big green shed. Have to say I'm quite impressed by them, if only they had stock of the corner clamp heads to go in them. The website is useless, tells you they're in stock. Doesn't tell you they've only got one in stock, and staff don't know what it is or where they put it

They have very ordinary communication with staff and stores about this.
Received the email Thursday lunchtime and went to my nearest store on Friday morning. They said that they had a pallet of Irwin gear out back but hadn't opened it yet so I would have to come back in the afternoon. They were also expecting the Irwin rep to explain what the deals were, but he was running late.
Went out of my way to go to another Bunnings, and initially they gave a story about not having sales or specials but when I showed them my emails, they said they knew nothing about it and said it must have been a Powerpass special only at my local store.
Pity I was not aware it was on the website.

Yep that is a pretty typical scenario for old Bun Buns from my experience
I have had an account with them and their various morfes since the Traversi Jones days in the eighties
Slowly things get worse and if you can’t help yourself there you are better off going elsewhere

Found the white coated drawer runners 400mm $9.34 for a pair
Not listed on their website. grrrr
Found the Irwin 6" 4 pack for $30 on an isle display not in the tools area.
(Not listed on their website - can't find the one I purchased anyway)
a single goes for $16 in the tools area with the other clamps
This is not part of the stock run-out sale. It's an everyday offer.
I did see more things in the Irwin run-out.
Got some blades that fit my fast caps kaizen knife 10 for $1
Saw a fast change drill driver for $15, etc.
4 of the 6" for $30 - the one on the left - very nice buy.

Just HSS and Cobalt twist drill bits and some other drill attachments for $5 or $3 (won't know until they're scanned at checkout) at Valley Heights, NSW. Snagged a couple of those.
Hope the clamps go on sale here too!
