Spare a thought
I know I speak with a heavy heart and for a lot of people on our Forum in saying our thoughts are with the people of Christchurch and NZ on this terrible day of devastation to your beautiful city and its people.

Everyone has a photographic memory, some just don't have film.

Like a lot of us here I have many friends over there and can only wish all of them and all New Zealanders a safe journey through all this.

I'm booked to go over to CHC on friday, returning monday. Going over for some bike racing and to hang out with good friends. All my friends are ok but I do feel for those that are suffering pain and loss.
So far the airline has not called off the flight so if I can fly, I will go.
Might have to buy some travel insurance today I reckon.

Kiwi loss
Here Here to all the comments and commiserations for those in and around Christchurch. I was there a month ago and shocked at the leftover from last time. Good luck to you all

All those that know in CHC are ok. Given what I saw today on telly and given that the airline has offered the opportunity to cancel at no cost. The trip has been flagged. I was there in October and had been a few times prior to that. So I understand that the last thing they need over there at the moment is a tourist or two just getting in the way.
I don't want to be like one of the rubbernecks that were getting around Brisbane after the flood.
My best wishes go out to those that are suffering, and to those who are valiantly helping.

I'm sure we are all thinking of our NZ neighbours at this time. I was in Christchurch and Lyttleton last year and such a beautiful place to visit. It is a terrible tragedy.
Reality is no background music.
Cheers John
