    Default Spiral Template Generator

I've just added a spiral template generator to blocklayer.com

Spiral Template Generator Tool - Print to Scale

Strangely (hopefully a good thing), there's no numbers to type in this calculator. It uses slider controls to adjust all the settings and re-draw the spiral.
You can adjust number of rotations, direction of rotation (clockwise or anticlockwise), the gap between the lines, line thickness and the smoothness of the curves (all the way to a triangle).

There's also a 'Random' slider, that randomly distorts the lines.
And you can left click, release and drag in the spiral image to measure any dimensions (at full scale).
Print the page at 100% printer scale and it will be at full scale.

Not sure if it would be much use to woodworkers, but only 1 way to find out.
    So is it?

Thanks for any feedback or ideas.

That's nice, thank you. I don't suppose you have one for a rectangular spiral in your back pocket, do you?

If you reduce the smoothness you can get down to a triangle and upwards , so square, pentagram, hex and so on.
