Just as well SWMBO doesn't mind me going because there I am, smack bang in the middle of the first photo bying something. I'm lucky it's always within a week of my birthday, so I tell her not to get me anything, I'll look after myself at the tool sale. This year will be even better, she's away next weekend, so she'll only see what I want her to. Can't wait.

    Woolybugger makes a great point.

Wear sunglasses, and an odd cap, so SWMBO can't recognise you in th ephoto's.

as said previously, this can lead to serious marital problem especially when buying that " special " item

You didn't have the axe yet. Must have been early.
Wooly bought an axe and carried it around for the afternoon. He got some good deals while resting a large axe over his shoulder. I'll be there on Sunday. Looking forward to it.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

That's a shame Christos. You could have come up with me, I could use a hand.

I've been thinking - why don't they hold these sales in venues where there is an ATM? I mean, if you're going to get in trouble with the wife anyway you might as well make it worthwhile.

Like Christos I to shall miss the TTTG sale it air of excitement, the smell of oiled up, rusty even some mouldy old tools and books.

Unlike most I couldn't dodge LOML finding out how much or what I bought she was always almost always there with me (forgot about time Fletty played taxi driver) There is a photo f her sitting waiting with the goodies bags of purchases on the site. Sue never seemed to sit on her own someone always sat and spoke with her to those forumites thanks.
Last year a woman also waiting for her cunning hubby who'd booked a cruise for them both with the full planed intention of attending the sale prior sailing. Smart man all the way from Melbourne.

I wonder if QLD has such so far I haven't located one other than swap meets.

Hope it is a morning well spent and bargains found.

Maybe one year I could use the excuse of time we went and saw the grandkids OR someone could do live feed walk around so we can spot what we are after riing sales table and snap up what it is we are after.

I will be there Ray and for the first time in 30 years of running and / or selling at sales I won't have a table.
Anything you are after in particular?
I will be helping, probably on the door during the initial rush.
I should then have time to have a good sticky beak around plus my mate Peter K who was one of my longtime helpers at my sales will be getting a lift with me.
Peter walks very slowly around and looks at every item, he picks up some amazing stuff and he used to regularly come over to my table to ad more stuff to his stash I looked after for him.
He used to really amaze me with what he found, I'd have had a quick look first off before the punters got in but Peter always found the gems.

Henry that'll be a blow for the buyers. Boon for you and PK.

Thanks after your parcel my wish list grew smaller 3 thumb screws missing on my No45 were attached. ...........However IF you come across 3 nickers and screws for the No45 and No78 I'd appreciate it depending on price of course. That fellow with engineering stuff will miss out on my $$$ this year. Say Hi to Little JohnH please.

    Looking for some help here.

ok, so here's the situation. I've been saving my pennies and I've travelled from Canberra to attend this. However, last night I've had an accident and damaged my foot. Despite being adamant I would be OK to attend I'm off to Westmead Hospital.

is the anyone who could let me know if they spot Record Planes. I'm after a 7 or 6, a 5 1/2 and maybe a 4 1/2. I may be able to convince my wife or son to drive over and buy them. I'm sooo disappointed that I can't attend.
