It will be interesting to see if any of the promoted changes have been implemented in this year's remaining shows or whether they will be held over until next year.
I hope it is a success for the promoters and visitors alike so the shows will go on.Dallas

YES, me too Dallas, as we need to keep the shows rolling.
Saying that, after talking to a mate who's met the new promoter, it is also her prime focus to reinvigorate the wood show back to earlier days so the joys of working with timber & wood along with the skills & craftsman have a show case & opportunity to encourage others.
Cheers, Peter

Hi all
Just looking at links, no mention of carbatec or lie neilsen attending the show? As someone who travels a fair way to visit family and squeeze in a side trip to a show to view, touch and purchase good quality tools not available in regional areas, I find this a little mystifying. Can anyone enlighten me?

Lie Nielson (Henry Eckert) are there but it is interesting that Carbatec are not listed as they are now basically the promoter and organiser of the shows.
Those were the droids I was looking for.

This must be the first time that we do not need to pay for parking. That is another piece of timber for me.

Carbatec have a 3 day sale on at the same time as the wood show with demos, food etc. It’s not that far from the new show venue and although not ideal, you could go there before/after the wood show.

Ok people let's get some facts out there.
Carbatec pulled out of the show as it was part of their business plan 2 years ago or so.
They did not pull out because of the new owner of the show from what I have been told carbatec actually pulled out prior to the sale of the show.
Carbatec did the Maleny Wood Show this year and I'm hearing that they are doing the Illawarra Wood Show.
The new owners of the show have a background and event management and marketing yes candy did work for carbatec but in a managerial role.
With the change of venue a large request from guests and exhibitors.
The new owners have launched a new website and also marketing the exhibitors not just the show.
People I take my hat off to the new owners for making such a large difference in such a short amount of time.
It is one thing for us to sit behind our computer screens and say how things should be done it is another to roll up your sleeves get involved and give back to a show that has bought so many of us from different walks of life together with the same interests.
The date change came about as if it was held at Sydney Olympic Park there was noise restrictions placed on the organisers and the exhibitors due to exams taking place in the building next door.DANGER!!!!I'm Dyslexic Spelling may offend!!!!!

H.E. sold the LN part of the business of to Anthony Suchandsuch. We met him at Sturt this year - very nice chap, which is a refreshing change for LN Aust.

Can't put up photos, but you can check photos of the show on Facebook with Lana Ward and Boutique Timbers.
