Blur
The topic for week 6 of my photography challenge is Blur. While it's easy to get a blurred photograph, it's another thing to blur a photo to achieve a pleasing or interesting result. I took a trip onto Melbourne to practice different blur techniques.
Slow shutter speed and no panning. f10, 1/20th sec.
Day 1_0097.jpg
Slow shutter speed combined with panning. f18, 1/6th. sec.
Day 1_0071.jpg
Slow shutter speed combined with panning. f22, 1/6th. sec.
Day 1_0067.jpg
Slow shutter speed combined with panning. f22, 1/6th. sec. This is what I was trying to achieve in the previous 2 shots. Freeze the action and blur the background.
Day 1_0066.jpg
Zoom blurring, turning the zoom ring as you take the photo. f22, 2 seconds.
Day 1_0057.jpg
f22, 0.6 second
Day 1_0056.jpg
f3.2, 0.4 second.
Day 1_0050.jpg
f3.2, 0.3 second.
Day 1_0049.jpg
Taken through the water wall at the NGV. f5.0, 1/60th, sec.
Day 1_0146.jpg
Taken through the water wall at the NGV. f10.0, 1/15th, sec.
Day 1_0024.jpgTo grow old is inevitable.... To grow up is optional
Confidence, the feeling you have before you fully understand the situation.
What could possibly go wrong.
