Wink Hard day @ the Office

These noisy buggers are all over the place at the moment. It's sooo bloody noisy in the early mornings it's hard to sleep.

When they are not making a racket they have a bit of a kip about mid-morning, that's how I managed to get close enough for these pictures.

    Cheers

Nice pics again Major, what lens do you use for shooting up in the trees, and do you use a polariser and leave it on all the time.

The difference between light and hard is that you can sleep with the light on.

    G'day Fred,

    The lens used was a Nikkor AF-S 300mm f/4.

I don't normally use a polariser on this lens due to the fact the lens is slow (f/4). I do however use it on my 24-70mm zoom.
I have a 14-24mm f/2.8 Nikkor but you can't use any filter on it because of the very curved front element.
    Cheers

    Default Great Picture

Very nice, the only birds we get close enough to photograph are sparrows - all the native birds give the area a miss - too many cats and dogs
