I said I was going to watch the sunrise yesterday which I did.
Thought it would be good to get a shot of it, but to be honest it wasn't one of the most stellar.
So I put the camera on the rail of the deck and waited for a car to go pasted.
IMG_8822.jpg
It didn't make the shot much better but it was a bit of fun!.
Here's two shots of a Thrush on the neighbour's front fence.
I'm always saying that the light in the mornings is very low.
Both of these photos are taken in available light with no flash.
The first one is what I'd call really nice even morning light.
The second shows a car on the road behind the Thrush a few seconds earlier with headlights blazing.

Made you wait long enough here's the Wren's Dave.

Sorry there's only one of the blue fellow, there wasn't to many around yesterday.
And a few other shots during the day.

Yesterday was another good day for some happy snaps around the shack.
I got the Blue Wren segment of the post pretty covered first thing in the morning.
IMG_3185.jpg IMG_3201.jpg
Later on a Flame Robin showed up to add even more colour to the day.
IMG_3210.jpg IMG_3215.jpg
Then I caught a Black-headed Honeyeater having a drink next door.

And at the end of the day a Firetail.

A very nice day!.

Morning Folks!.
Lots of heavy foliage in these two shots of an Eastern Spinebill, but they do show pretty well what they get up it with that beak of theirs!.
IMG_3322.jpg IMG_3323.jpg
The Wrens where out and about a lot yesterday.
This fellow was very keen to be in shot, he nearly landed on the end of the lens at one point.
IMG_3408.jpg IMG_3413.jpg IMG_3418.jpg
Even the pesky Firetail seemed happy to have his picture taken!.
IMG_3373.jpg IMG_3379.jpg IMG_3380.jpg
And a couple of others as well.

Good Morning People!.
Looks like being a nice day down here so I think I'll take a drive down south.
There's a couple of places I'd like to have a look at, as possibility's to move to down the track.
You never know I may be able to get a photo of something other than a bird!.
But not yesterday.

Morning All.
I went for a drive yesterday and surprise surprise I managed to photograph something that wasn't a bird.
The morning in Scamander was nice and clear but by the time I'd made my way up through the St. Marys Pass I was in the fog.
So I stopped at that little old church for a photo in the fog.
IMG_8854.jpg
It was really beautiful driving down the Fingal valley as the sun was rising, or at least trying to be seen throw the fog!.
These two shots of the lowering fog where taken from about half way down the valley near Fingal looking back up towards St. Mary's.
IMG_3652.jpg
IMG_3651.jpg
Further along near Avoca I caught the leading edge of the fog bank as it worked it's along the valley.
IMG_8863.jpg
Just off to the side of the road near Tunbridge which is a small town on the main road between Launceston and Hobart.
Is this fantastic old Farm Wagon (Yes I like that kinda stuff).
IMG_3663.jpg
I got back home around 5:30 thinking I was never going to get the Daily Dave Blue Wren.
But I even got lucky there after a few minutes walking around the backyard!.
