Some great shots on your trip. There are so many beautiful places to photograph in Tassie and I have so many great memories through the camera (not as classy as yours though).
The B&W of the church really sets the mood for that one, but the others look great too.

G'day all the morning is beautiful down here!.

Although there must be a fire roaring somewhere.
Late yesterday the smoke was so thick you could take a silhouette shot directly into the sun.

    IMG_3781.jpg

    IMG_3782.jpg

Maybe that's what was keeping the birds away as there wasn't to may to speak of.
Sorry Dave this fellow hiding behind some bracken fern is as close as I got with the blue wrens.

    IMG_3738.jpg

I had a little more luck with a Thornbill and Silvereye.

    IMG_3735.jpg IMG_3748.jpg IMG_3752.jpg

    Have a great day!

While it was a beautiful morning yesterday, by 10 o'clock it was blowing a gale!.
Another one of those days that the birds aren't seen much.

I did get a shot of a New Holland honeyeater hiding in a bush out of the wind.

    IMG_3799.jpg

There was a few of the larger birds around that where brave enough to fight the wind like this Wattlebird.

    IMG_3788.jpg

But apart from that the only critters moving where a couple of Rabbits out in the front yard late in the afternoon.

    IMG_3791.jpg IMG_3795.jpg

Fair to say it was so windy even they had to "brace" themselves!.

Come On Rabbits Brace get it?.
Or maybe it's just to early in the morning for my devastating wit!.

In the end I've needed to go to the back catalogue for the Blue Wrens sorry about that Cowboy.
But at least they've got their colour back.

    Have a great folks!.

Again very quite around the place yesterday.
The wind had really got up by mid morning.
I think the holes are starting to show in my airy open plan workshop!.

I got some nice shots of a couple of young Rosella's in the pear tree next door.
I couldn't see to much of them, they where fairly well hidden in amongst the leaves.

    IMG_3810.jpg IMG_3811.jpg IMG_3818.jpg

I only saw one Blue Wren all day, but he was in no hurry to fly off.

    IMG_3855.jpg IMG_3856.jpg IMG_3864.jpg

    IMG_3865.jpg for12.jpg for13.jpg

Hopefully that makes up for yesterday's strike-out Dave.

Good day yesterday working on the bike.
But not a lot of birds around although I did get a Blue Wren to cover the Dave contract!

    IMG_3887.jpg

Apart from that it was only a Grey Fantail and a Eastern Spinebill (aka Herbert Bird).

    IMG_3919.jpg IMG_3928.jpg

I got this silhouetted shot of a couple of Yellow Throated Honeyeaters having a squabble that I kinda like.

    IMG_3950.jpg

On a different note I got this old clock the other day.
I thought it may go well in my shed down the track.
It's an International Time Recording Company Autograph clock.

    IMG_8888.jpg IMG_8889.jpg

    IMG_8890.jpg IMG_8891.jpg

Unlike a punch clock with this one you'd sign your name through the slot, turn a handle and the machine would stamp the time.
It's pretty ratted out but the clock is still a goer!.

As an interesting footnote: The company went on to become a little business you may have heard of called IBM.

    Have a great folks!

    Cheers
