It was an overcast and rainy old day with little or no chance for photos.
So here's some from the last few days that didn't make the show to start with.

    Hopefully better luck today.

A beautiful day down here yesterday but not a lot of birds around.

    Great variety of shots.

Love them all. And best till last. Has spot changed his spots or is this a new player on the block

Well I guess being the time of year I can't be to surprised that yesterday it was drizzling rain and fairly bleak.
After the glorious weather the day before.
The only thing to brighten up the day was Blue Boy showing up with one of his posse.

Still I know at least one person who wont be to upset by the outcome!.

Another of those rainy days with few opportunity's to get the camera out.
But I got some shots of an Eastern Spinebill I liked along with a Thrush, a New Holland Honeyeater and a Scarlet Robin.

I really like the first shot of the Eastern Spinebill where the water is falling from the flower as he goes after the nectar.

The weathers still not flash so it's all hit and miss at the moment.

One of the photo's wasn't taken yesterday it's from a few days ago.
I've put it there as a bit of an experiment.
It's to see if the appearance of a certain coloured bird gets a particular forum member to push a button.
I'll leave the bird out tomorrow and we'll see if the button gets pushed without it being in amongst the photos?.
I'm thinking the poor fellow has a form of Pavlovian conditioning.
So don't say anything and we'll just see what happens!. :

    Hi Trev

We don't know each other but i'm also an avid photographer at the enthusiast stage. I use a Tamron 16-300 zoom lens for my birds and for that matter a carry around lens. Don't have any dedicated lenses yet. I shoot with the Canon EOS 70D. Would like to know what you walk around with as your bird photo's are very clear and sharp.

    Thanks

    Roger
With kind regards and may the wood chips fly

I use the same body as you fitted with a Sigma 600.
The camera also has a power pack on it, so the hole thing gets a little heavy after awhile held at eye level.
    But that's a miner thing.
Since I got the lens the only times it comes off the body is to be cleaned.

Love to see some of your shots mate!.

    Cheers

I took a couple of walks around the place yesterday but there was little about.
The only bird I saw take flight was the Kookaburra I gave the pip while trying to get a shot of him.

There's a tree down near the shed that has only one stubborn leaf left on it.
I took a photo just because it reminded me of myself!.

I know I don't talk camera gobbledygook much, but yesterday it was a struggle to get a 60th.
Gloomy old day but never mind.

To add some colour here's a few shots from the day before.

Something new every day - I have never thought of you as a leaf. There may be a nickname there
