Another trip to Outback NSW
Some photo's from our recent trip to Mungo & Yanga NP's. Unfortunately we were unable to do a guided tour through the "Walls of China" at Mungo, so were restricted to the boardwalks. I took plenty of photo's in the woolsheds and outbuildings, hope they're not too boring.

Fabulous photos! I wouldn't mind doing a similar trip.
You seem to have a real knack in capturing the essence of the scenery, if you know what I mean.
Have you used a polarising filter or altered any of the pics in Photoshop, or are they 'as shot'?
Either way, very impressive, thanks for putting them up.

Hi Alan, I always do some post processing in photoshop, sometimes just a slight adjustment, sometimes I do a lot of work if I'm looking to get particular look to a photo. All of the inside images are HDR images with a lot of work in photoshop.
The 7th. and 8th. photo in the first post were shot using a Polarizing Filter.
The 9th. photo was shot with a FLW-Filter.
Hope you don't think I'm too much of a cheat .To grow old is inevitable.... To grow up is optional

G'Day John,
Some of your photos are just magnificent while others are better....
If I may trouble you for some specifications om your camera and the lens please; we need to purchase a new camera for an overseas trip next year and while it's often more about the person taking the photos, the equipment has to be good to start with, thank you..
Cheers, crowie

Hi Crowie, I'm using a Canon 7d and use mainly Sigma lenses. My favourite lens is the Sigma 17-70 f2.8
Just about all these photo's were taken with this lens.To grow old is inevitable.... To grow up is optional

Once again John, really striking pics.
The inside of the wool shed looks amazing, and well taken and composed photo's of it too.
Thanks for posting.
They are definitely not boring at all.
Steven.

No, it is not cheating, just enhancing a good photo into a spectacular photo. A bit of work and they really do 'pop' from the screen.
