Water, Rust and Fungi
Went 4wdriving around the Gladysdale - Gembrook area today and got some nice shots. Would have liked to stay longer and taken more time, but I was with other people who pushing me to hurry up .

I really love the photo of the old piece of machinery. Would be interesting to know it's history.
Congratulations on the photos

I'd like to know where it actually is?
With your first photo I like the long exposure to get the soft water, but shots like that always need a sturdy tripod, and a little fiddling. I suggest you leave the others behind or find some other photographers to go with if you want to get good shots. Speaking from experience.…..Live a Quiet Life & Work with your Hands

Great shots as usual GJ . Beautiful colours in the fungi, I'd be tempted to grab one and use it for spalting

Give me some time and I'll check my Hema and see if I can work out the co-ordinates.
All the shots were hand held. I'm keeping a record of the places I visit with the intention of going back either on my own or leading a 4wd trip with the intention of taking time to get great photo's. The group I was traveling with were primarily interested in the drive and it would have been unfair of me to expect them to wait for me to get the "perfect" shot every time. As it was we were an hour late getting to the end of the trip.To grow old is inevitable.... To grow up is optional

Yeah the general rule is not to shoot hand held under 1/60th but that also depends on the focal length

This one if I remember correctly came out of the Rubicon bush near Eildon Victoria or maybe one of the sawmills in that area.
A bit of a giggle for Ray (wheelinround), in that link of the Alexandra Timber Tramway have a look at "Needs and Surplus Stock"
I'm the first on the left in the top pic and also standing at the lathe in the bottom pic. Pre moustache.
