I was a base guitarist in an aussie prog rock band from the mid to late 60's, I made a successful transition to lead guitar with the formation of a new band circa 1970.

Are you all away? OK, I won't be too specific with the next clue, it would give it away otherwise.
I was one of the lineup of Blackfeather.prozac

Sorry GJ I don't recall that John played bass in any lineup. Also there were many in the Blackfeather lineup.

This is sweet revenge...I haven't had you blokes searching before. If you can find the house from Criston Barkers website "beer and marijuana fueled jamm session at a house somewhere in Turramurra" (you won't) you'll have found many a musician. Clue it's on the Highway and really it was at Pymble. (1220 Pacific Hwy, Pymble. It's a block of rich ppl townhouses now)
I'll give you another. It could well have been an Island.prozac

I see the problem now GJ. The first clue said " I was a base guitarist" What I meant to say was "I was a bass guitarist". So does that help?
Edit; You're nearly there. It is one of those.prozac
