Robin Trower
Sit back, make yourself comfortable, and turn the volume up to 11.
Enjoy

I'll definitely have a listen to that GJ. I had the great (and unexpected) pleasure of seeing him as Bryan Ferry's guitarist somewhere in the 90s at the State Theatre (one of the very best venues ever).

Yeah, really good! I'm about half way through so far. I'm hearing all sorts of things in there - "Crossroads"/Cream snippets, the usual heavy duty Hendrix influence, the sound of Kevin Borich (Trower and Hendrix must have had a heavy influence on Borich - Too Rolling Stoned in particular).
More later - got to do stuff now.
Forgot to say that the sound quality is spot on - bass and drums tight and clean.

Wouldn't think he was an early member of Procul Harum, totally different sound. Was labelled as the "next" Hendrix but never quite made it, probably not flamboyant enough.
Bridge of Sighs is my favourite, it's one of the reasons I wanted to visit Venice. To grow old is inevitable.... To grow up is optional

Hats off to Trower as a guitarist but most of his finest work wouldn't have been pulled off without the equally fine vocals and bass work of the late James Dewar.

Him & most of Robben Ford but some of his Contemporary Jazz requires a lot of red wine.
I also like Leslie West & the new improved Russel Morris.Cliff.
