Default Air Travel at low altitude

This is one of my other past times. It does not fit into ANY category here really, but thought some poeple might be interested.

FWIW, I am a student pilot. But I am hoping that I will be fully qualified by the end of Feb next year.

Anyway, this is South Passage Bar (between Moreton Island and North Stradbroke Island, Queensland) at about 1100hrs today from maybe 2000' IIRC. May have been at 1000' but I cant remember.

And your sexy pilot paying lots of attention to flying the plane!!!! I think its time I had a shave and a haircut!

Bonus Tangalooma Shot. It was very quiet there today, very unusual.

You know, sometimes I have to pinch myself to remember how lucky I am to live in this part of the world. Days like this are ones I will take to the grave knowing that a very few people will experience this. I worked hard to be able to do this, but what a reward. I dont get to do it often, but when I do it takes about 6 months to wipe the smile from my face. We folks, are so spoilt to live in such a great country, and we so often overlook this. Those of us living in Brisbane have it so much better than most, just an hour by boat to one of the best places in the world.

You are right in saying that we live in one of the best parts of the world. I found flying a relaxing past time, I had 2 hours to go to finish my license for microlight, when I had my accident, ended up losing my business also.

Great shots of the sand bars . Probably belongs in photography

Shame the Tangalooma Resort doesn't allow campers as I'd love to explore, especially those wrecks.

There is a camp ground just north of tangalooma, near the resort's runway. Snapped a photo yesterday:

Thanks guys, I thought it was a resort only island, added to my favourites in Wikicamps "to explore"

Thanks for posting we stayed at Tanalooma a couple years ago. Did a bit of snorkeling around those wrecks. Lots of great fish.

This year it was Fraser Is.

    Awsome place.

    Cheers

Girl, I don't wanna know about your mild-mannered alter ego or anything like that." I mean, you tell me you're, uh, super-mega-ultra-lightning babe? That's all right with me. I'm good. I'm good.

You would have to pay more attention here.

Those pilots that fly the alps regions are true pilots, there are flying in pretty hostile country.

As I said earlier, I am only a student pilot. But I am smashing it out now. Today was really weather, very cloudy, but I managed to get out and complete my first ever training area solo flight. All my solo hours so far have been circuits at the aerodrome, take off, go straight around and land, take off, go straight around and land... To finally depart from the circuit and fly away from the airport with only you in the plane is a great feeling.

Did my recreational licence check flight yesterday... And passed!!!

I am now officially a pilot. Somewhat restricted, but a pilot nonetheless. Start my cross country and controlled airspace training the week after easter. Cant wait!
