We've just come back from a 44 day trip through the red centre and outback Queensland. Here's a video summary of the trip, photo's to follow.

Some great photos and clips. I'm sure our overseas members will appreciate the quick tour of our backyard.
Thanks for posting,
Alan...

John, What a to video of your holiday, oh to have also been on that trip too, thank you sir....
That last clip in the video reminded me of the drive from Winton to Cloncurry, flat, dirt all the way and in an old Saab 99 in the early 1980's [visiting my brother in Mt Isa].....
Cheers, crowie

Thanks for the kind words Crowie. That last section was filmed along the Odnadatta Track. that section was pretty smooth, but other sections were very corrugated. So much so we sustained a fair bit of damage to our plumbing works.

Uluru & Kata Tjuta
We were blessed to see rain falling on Uluru and Kata Tjuta during our stay. As you can see in these photo's it was very green in the "Red" centre, I actually heard some O/S tourists complaining about it being so green, "where's the red". It's not often that you get to see Uluru and Kata Tjuta shrouded in cloud.

Sunrise, and you can barely see the rock. Four AAT King buses full of tourists complaining about the crappy sunrise. I tried to explain to some of them that this is a one in a million experience.
